Responding to these\ndynamic developments ISECG agencies have focused on updating and expanding the international\nlunar surface exploration scenario to reflect the changes and potential\nopportunities resulting from the recent plans. They decided to develop an\nupdate of the Global Exploration Roadmap (GER) published in 2018, entitled \u201cGER\nSupplement (2020)\u201d. The \u201cAnnual Report 2019\u201d provides a first insight into key\nfeatures and elements of the updated scenario that will be addressed in the\nsupplement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a major element\nsupporting the GER, the definition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=811\">GER\nCritical Technology Portfolio<\/a> was completed in December 2019. It comprises\nextensive portfolio analysis. The ISECG Annual Report 2019 provides an overview\nof key topics of the technology portfolio review and focus areas of the\ntechnology gap assessment, which was supported by subject-matter experts from\nparticipating agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Space exploration has always attracted\npublic interest. In order to respond to this interest and to enhance engagement\namongst the public in future exploration, ISECG members undertook an analysis\non how to extend communication reach and reaching non-traditional audiences\nthrough new engagement channels.
