The International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) has published its 2024 Annual Report<\/a><\/strong>, providing a comprehensive overview of key achievements and collaborative efforts undertaken over the past year to advance global space exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the year\u2019s highlights are the release of two flagship documents: the 2024 Global Exploration Roadmap (GER)<\/strong>,<\/a> which outlines a shared international vision for human and robotic exploration of the Solar System, and the second edition of Benefits Stemming from Space Exploration<\/strong><\/a>, a white paper showcasing the societal and economic value derived from investments in space exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report details the activities of ISECG\u2019s various working groups, including those focused on exploration architecture, technology, science, commercialisation, and emerging space agencies. It also outlines priorities for 2025, including strengthening cooperation on lunar and Mars exploration scenarios, addressing critical technology gaps, and enhancing outreach through joint communication initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISECG is a voluntary, non-binding coordination forum comprising 27 space agencies working together to advance a global strategy for space exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives from ISECG participating agencies continue to promote the GER and the Benefits paper to diverse stakeholders across various international forums. In May, Simone Pirrotta, of the Italian Space Agency, presented about the GER at Space Meetings Veneto<\/a> (Italy), an international space industry conference. The GER also featured prominently in a panel discussion at GLEX 2025<\/a> in New Delhi, where space agency leaders discussed how the roadmap supports international coordination to expand exploration beyond low Earth orbit to the Moon and Mars. The panel emphasised shared values such as cooperation, inclusiveness, and strategic alignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate GLEX session, Anne-Marie Dallaire, of the Canadian Space Agency, presented the Benefits Stemming from Space Exploration paper, highlighting the societal and economic value of space investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISECG representatives also promoted the GER at the Space Resources Week<\/a> in Luxembourg, highlighting its relevance to in-situ resource utilisation and future exploration planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These outreach efforts increase awareness of ISECG\u2019s work among international space agencies, industry, academia, and the public. ISECG representatives serve as ambassadors for a coordinated, international approach to space exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
