{"id":805,"date":"2018-05-18T07:37:45","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T07:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/wordpress\/?p=805"},"modified":"2018-05-18T07:38:56","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T07:38:56","slug":"isecg-annual-report-2017-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/?p=805","title":{"rendered":"ISECG Annual Report 2017 published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-786\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/ar2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"25%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/ar2017.jpg 523w, https:\/\/www.globalspaceexploration.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/ar2017-211x300.jpg 211w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 523px) 100vw, 523px\" \/>The \u201cAnnual Report 2017\u201d of the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) provides an overview of the achievements and activities over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>ISECG pursued various activity lines throughout 2017, from which many findings contributed to the update of the \u201cGlobal Exploration Roadmap\u201d, released in January 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Progress was also achieved in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ISECG study work on lunar exploration, including an international deep space Gateway and concepts for advanced robotic and human rated landers as well as small pressurized rovers.<\/li>\n<li>Engaging science communities around the globe and identifying recommendations for exploration priorities. The activity culminated with the publication of a Science White Paper on \u201cScientific Opportunities Enabled by Human Exploration Beyond Low-Earth Orbit\u201d in December 2017;<\/li>\n<li>Understanding lunar volatiles and identifying opportunities for collaboration across the numerous planned lunar polar robotic missions;<\/li>\n<li>Advancing the characterisation and assessment of critical technologies for the mission scenario of the \u201cGlobal Exploration Roadmap\u201d.
