Agencies participating in the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) have continued to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities of implementing exploration missions as described in the Global Exploration Roadmap (GER). Seeking innovative solutions from the broader community, a series of engagement activities have been held in the US, Europe and Japan in 2014.

The latest stakeholder engagement opportunity took place on October 29-31, 2014, on occasion of the International Space Exploration Conference hosted at the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg, France. Participants presented their international space exploration activities, debated the technical, scientific and programmatic challenges associated to space exploration, and reviewed the implications of the GER during special plenary sessions and roundtables. > July 2014
On July 31 the Symposium on International Space Exploration 2014 was hosted by JAXA in Japan. Experts in space exploration from around the world provided the latest status of international space exploration and exchanged their views with the audience. Panel discussions on the GER with experts from the broader community (such as policy, science and diplomacy experts) were also organized.

On April 10-11, 2014 the NASA Community Workshop on the Global Exploration Roadmap provided an opportunity for focused community discussion related to advancing the definition of the 3 near-term mission themes identified in the ISECG Mission Scenario. Invited presentations from the stakeholder community, panel discussions, and audience Question & Answer sessions facilitated discussion of innovative ideas from the community.
